Georgetown Swimming and Diving Hosts Johns Hopkins and JMU Nov 7

November 7, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Georgetown University swimming and diving returns to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, November 7, to host Johns Hopkins University and James Madison University in a tri-meet starting at 12:00 p.m., guhoyas.com reported.

The Hoyas step back onto their home deck following a road trip last weekend against Villanova. During that BIG EAST matchup, the Georgetown men secured a 167–132 victory led by multi-event wins from Owen Watkins and Lucas Knapp, according to guhoyas.com. The women’s squad faced a challenging conference battle featuring individual wins from Celia Watkins in the 200 backstroke and Madie Malone in the 100 free.

Saturday’s competition brings a non-conference test across sprint, middle-distance, stroke, and relay events. The Georgetown men match up head-to-head against Johns Hopkins, while the Hoya women square off in a dual-opponent format against both Johns Hopkins and James Madison, guhoyas.com reported. For James Madison, the trip to Washington marks a November stop on a fall slate that opened in October with meets against Liberty, Rutgers, and Marshall under Head Coach Dane Pedersen, jmusports.com reported.

Upcoming Schedule at the Navy Invitational

Action concludes in the nation’s capital before both programs shift focus toward a multi-day invitational. Georgetown hits the road for the Navy Invite running from Thursday, November 19 through Saturday, November 21, with sessions opening at 10:00 a.m., guhoyas.com reported. James Madison similarly finishes its fall schedule at the same Annapolis invitational on those dates, jmusports.com reported.
