George Mason Baseball Begins Season at Oregon: Schedule & Preview
EUGENE, Ore. – The George Mason Patriots baseball team will open the 2026 season against the Oregon Ducks in a four-game series beginning Friday at PK Park, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The series is scheduled for Feb. 13-15, with game times set for 6:05 p.m. EST on Friday, 2:05 p.m. EST on Saturday and 3:05 p.m. EST on Sunday, according to the George Mason athletic department. The Ducks finished the 2025 season with a 42-16 record, while the Patriots posted a 40-21 mark and advanced to the championship game of the Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship.
George Mason head coach Shawn Camp enters his fourth year leading the Patriots, who return 13 players and have added 19 newcomers to the roster. Last season, George Mason achieved its most wins since 2009 and secured the most conference victories since joining the Atlantic 10 in 2004. The team also broke an NCAA record by scoring 23 runs in a single inning against Holy Cross.
Oregon, now competing in the Considerable Ten Conference, boasts the fourth-most wins and the fourth-best winning percentage among Western teams since 2021. Last season, the Ducks set a program record with 115 home runs and 438 RBIs. Oregon shortstop Maddox Molony is on the preseason watch list for the Golden Spikes Award and was named a preseason All-American by Perfect Game.

The Patriots’ 2026 schedule includes 30 conference games and 26 home contests at Spuhler Field. They will also face teams that participated in the 2025 NCAA Regional tournaments, including Seton Hall, Ball State, and USC-Upstate.
The Atlantic 10 Baseball Championship is scheduled to be held at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va., from May 19-23.
