Gelato Messina has opened its 30th store nationwide in Highgate, Western Australia, marking a important expansion for the popular dessert chain. The new Highgate location has been met with eager reception from locals, according to Declan Lee,a representative for Messina.
“I think people were kind of really excited for us to come so when we opened the first doors it was absolutely crazy and now we’ve kind of found our feet there and embedded ourselves with the locals,” lee stated.
The expanded space at the Highgate store will allow for an increase in events, carts, and pop-ups across Western Australia, with Lee encouraging the public to “watch this space” for future announcements.
Messina prides itself on creating all its gelato components in-house, including baked goods like brownie bits, as well as coulis and caramels. The company’s commitment to quality extends to its own dairy farm in country victoria, which supplies rich jersey milk specifically for their gelato production.
