Garmin has launched a complete software update for its compatible watches and cycling computers, alongside the introduction of detailed 3D maps within the Garmin Connect app. The updates, which began rolling out recently, aim to enhance training analysis and recovery monitoring for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
These improvements arrive as demand grows for elegant performance tracking and route visualization tools. Garmin Connect subscribers with a Connect Plus membership can now leverage the new 3D maps to gain a clearer understanding of course elevation and terrain profiles-both for previously recorded activities, planned routes, and trails featured in the Garmin Trails section. Users can update their devices either automatically or manually through the Garmin Express application.
