Galaxy A56, A55, A54 & A53 Get February 2026 Security Update – Details

Samsung has begun rolling out a February 2026 security update to four of its Galaxy A-series smartphones – the A53, A54, A55, and A56 – initially in South Korea. The update addresses 37 security vulnerabilities, bolstering the devices’ protection against emerging threats.

According to Samsung, the firmware versions accompanying the update are A536NKSSFGZB2 for the Galaxy A53, A546SKSSFEZB2 for the Galaxy A54, A556SKSS6CZB2 for the Galaxy A55, and A566SKSS5BZB6 for the Galaxy A56. Users can initiate the update process through their device settings by navigating to “Software update” and selecting “Download and install.”

While Samsung typically releases security patches concurrent with the calendar month, the February 2026 update experienced a slight delay. This was largely due to the company’s focus on the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, where the Galaxy S26 series and the Buds 4 were unveiled, according to sources familiar with the rollout.

The update is not limited to security enhancements. The Galaxy A56, A55, A54, and A53 are also slated to receive One UI 8.5, built upon Android 16 QPR2. This major software iteration promises a redesigned user interface and a suite of new features designed to improve the overall mobile experience. Samsung anticipates beginning the rollout of One UI 8.5 in the coming weeks.

The software support for these Galaxy A-series devices underscores Samsung’s commitment to providing long-term updates, even for its mid-range offerings. The company has not yet announced a timeline for the update’s availability in regions outside of South Korea.
