Galatasaray defeated Juventus 5-2 in a frenetic first leg of their Champions League knockout play-off match at Rams Park on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Gabriel Sara opened the scoring for the Turkish champions after 15 minutes, capitalizing on a clearance from Bremer. Juventus responded quickly, with Teun Koopmeiners leveling the score less than 85 seconds later, heading in from a Pierre Kalulu cross. Koopmeiners then put Juventus ahead shortly after the half-hour mark, firing a shot into the top-left corner from the edge of the box.

Noa Lang equalized for Galatasaray four minutes into the second half. Davinson Sanchez then gave Galatasaray the lead, flicking in a thunderous free-kick from Sara. The match took a decisive turn when Juventus substitute Juan Cabal received a second yellow card, reducing the Italian side to ten men just 21 minutes after entering the game.

Lang then extended Galatasaray’s advantage, punishing lax defending from Juventus. Sacha Boey added a fifth goal late in the match, completing the scoring after a move involving Victor Osimhen.

Galatasaray have scored five goals in a Champions League match for the first time in their history, while Juventus conceded five goals in the competition for the first time ever.

The second leg is scheduled to take place in Turin on Wednesday, February 25, at 20:00 GMT.
