Fulham Dominate⁤ Wolves 3-0 in Contentious Match at Craven Cottage

LONDON – Fulham secured a commanding 3-0 ‌victory over wolves at Craven ⁤cottage on Monday, a result heavily influenced by a 36th-minute ‌red card ⁢for Wolves ‍defender Alex Agbadou. ‍Teh dismissal, following a foul on a Fulham player while attempting to run through ‌on goal, left Wolves with ten men for the majority of the contest.

The match began with a swift Fulham lead, as ⁣ryan Sessegnon scored in the 9th minute. Despite a VAR check for a potential handball ‌by Kenny‍ King during the build-up, the goal ⁤stood. Further⁣ VAR scrutiny before halftime regarding a‌ possible handball ⁢and penalty for Wolves proved unsuccessful.

Wolves struggled to create meaningful chances, with a late first-half prospect for Ki-Jana Hoever failing to materialize. Entering halftime ⁤trailing 1-0, and facing a chorus of boos from the travelling support, Wolves manager Gary O’Neil responded with a triple substitution at the start of the second half, introducing J.Gomes, Jackson Tchatchoua, and ⁢mosquera in ‌a 5-3-1 formation.

Fulham⁢ extended ⁣their⁣ advantage ⁤in the 62nd minute through Callum Wilson, who curled ⁢a⁢ shot into the bottom corner, despite Alex Iwobi being down with a head injury moments before. Wilson came close to adding another shortly after, but Jose sa made a save.

The hosts’ third ⁣goal ‍arrived in ⁤the 75th minute, an own goal credited to Mosquera following a ⁣controversial ⁢passage of play where Wolves appealed for a ‍foul on Hugo Bueno.‌ Fulham’s Samuel Chukwueze then struck the⁤ post with a clear opportunity to make it ⁣4-0, and Sa subsequently denied another effort from the same player.

Following the ⁢final whistle, Wolves players, led by João gomes, approached the away end to acknowledge the frustrated supporters, with⁣ manager Gary O’neil joining them as they faced vocal criticism.
