French Teacher Finds Fulfillment in Agricultural Equipment Education
Patricia Pandraud, a 46-year-old agro-equipment instructor, has found a fulfilling role at the Lycée Brioude-Bonnefont in Haute-Loire, France, after a decade spent living in Réunion.
Pandraud has been teaching at the lycée for the past two years, specializing in agro-equipment. Her return to Haute-Loire also marked a return to a family legacy, as she took over the position previously held by her father. She currently teaches in the school’s mechanical workshop, an environment she describes as feeling “like home,” according to a recent report in La Ruche.
The Lycée Brioude-Bonnefont is actively integrating new technologies into its curriculum. Recent investments include a tractor simulator, designed to enhance the practical training of apprentice farmers, as reported by Le Veuil. This modernization effort reflects a broader trend of adapting educational methods to meet the evolving demands of the agricultural sector.
In March, students from the CFPCA Brioude-Bonnefont, accompanied by Pandraud, William Malfant, and doctoral student Manon Caudron, visited the John Deere engine plant in Saran. The visit, facilitated by Éric Bonhomme, provided students with insight into industrial manufacturing processes and the expertise behind John Deere engines, according to a post on the Lycée Brioude-Bonnefont’s Facebook page.
