Frankie Muniz Reveals He Hasn’t Spoken to ‘Big Fat Liar‘ Co-Star Amanda Bynes in Years
LOS ANGELES, CA – Frankie Muniz has shared an update on his relationship with former co-star Amanda Bynes, revealing they have not been in contact recently. The revelation came during a recent interview were Muniz reflected on his time as a child actor in Hollywood.
Muniz and Bynes starred together in the 2002 comedy Big Fat Liar, a film fondly remembered by many who grew up in the early 2000s. While discussing his past roles with Us Weekly, Muniz stated, “Honestly, no,” when asked if he remains in touch with Bynes. He also mentioned keeping in touch sporadically with Angie Harmon, another co-star, and having last seen Hilary Duff at the premiere of Agent Cody Banks.
The Malcolm in the Middle actor also reminisced about having a childhood crush on Bynes, recalling his admiration for her work on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show All That. He shared a story about nearly hosting Saturday Night Live but opting instead to co-host the Nickelodeon kids’ Choice Awards in 2000, where he first met Bynes and they connected via AOL.
Muniz clarified that their relationship never progressed beyond friendship, noting they saw each other a few times after the Big Fat Liar premiere but eventually lost touch. He expressed his well wishes for Bynes, praising her work ethic and stating he “wished her nothing but happiness.”
Despite stepping away from consistent acting roles, Muniz has continued to pursue other passions, including a career as a NASCAR driver.
