France U20 Beat Norway, Qualify for Semi-Finals

The French Under-20 team continued their impressive run at the World Cup, securing a ​2-1‌ win against Norway and advancing to the semi-finals where⁢ thay will face Morocco.

After a nail-biting round ​of 16 clash decided by a late ‍penalty,Bernard Diomède’s ‍squad enjoyed a more ​controlled performance in their quarter-final match⁤ against Norway. while needing a‌ penalty⁢ in extra time to defeat Japan previously, the French team confidently overcame the Norwegians with ‍a 2-1‌ result.

The arrival of Saïmon⁢ Bouabré earlier in the‍ week⁣ has ‌proven a significant ‍boost for the team. diomède commented on Bouabré’s development, stating, “He was⁢ the‌ little ⁤kid in 2024. Now he ⁤has a different status and responsibilities to shoulder.” The player, who moved from AS Monaco ⁣to Noem SC in Saudi Arabia last summer, proved instrumental in⁢ securing France‘s qualification.

This semi-final appearance marks⁢ france’s first‍ in an Under-20⁣ World cup⁤ since⁢ 2013, when the team, featuring⁣ Paul Pogba, were crowned champions. They will ‍now face Morocco, who upset the United ⁤States with a 3-1 victory.‌ The other semi-final will see Argentina take on Colombia.
