France Alzheimer: Upcoming Events & Memory Support in Lectoure-Fleurance
France Alzheimer Lectoure-Fleurance will host a series of meetings in the coming months focused on supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. The organization’s “Café Mémoire” gatherings will address therapeutic advancements and explore innovative approaches to care.
On March 31st, the Café Mémoire will focus on recent therapeutic advancements, including presentations on new treatments and diagnostic tests available for Alzheimer’s disease. This meeting aims to inform both patients and their families about the latest developments in medical care, according to the association.
A more unconventional session is planned for May 26th, featuring a therapeutic laughter workshop led by a clown association. Organizers describe this as an innovative approach to supporting those living with the disease.
France Alzheimer Lectoure-Fleurance also maintains a regular presence in Lectoure, offering a drop-in service on the first Friday of each month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The specific location will be provided upon request when scheduling an appointment.
The association is also directing individuals to an online self-assessment tool available at www.icope.fr/je-m-evalue. This questionnaire is designed to help seniors evaluate their cognitive health and determine if a consultation with their physician is warranted.

The association previously relaunched its Café Mémoire meetings in January, holding weekly sessions at the Le Bastion bar in Lectoure from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. These meetings are specifically designed to provide information and support to caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
