Forsyth & Will Win Q Tour Criterium Stages – 2026 ProVelo Super League

March 21, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Alistair Forsyth of VIS p/b K.O.M.P was unexpectedly awarded victory in the Q Tour criterium on Saturday, the second-to-last stage of the 2026 Hertz ProVelo Super League, after Tom Cornish of Team Brennan was relegated from first place. The race, held at the Brisbane International Cycle Park, saw Keira Will (Team Redcat) win the women’s criterium.

Cornish initially crossed the finish line ahead of Forsyth in the 46.8km men’s race, but officials subsequently relegated him, elevating the 17-year-old Forsyth to the top of the podium. Ryan Thomas (RCA Bikesonline) finished second and Angus Miller (Butterfields ZipTrak) took third, while Cornish was moved to fourth place. Forsyth’s win propelled him to the lead in the Q Tour men’s general classification.

In the women’s 36km race, Will secured her victory with a strong sprint finish. Amelie Sanders (Meridian Bikebug) finished second, and Sophie Edwards (Butterfields Ziptrak), the stage 1 winner, completed the podium in third. Will described a tactical race, stating, “They were all in for me in the sprint so we were just going to capture the race as it comes. We managed to get together and get to the front, and they just started drilling it. I knew at that point they were just going to hold to the line and I had to make sure I could finish it off in the conclude.”

Edwards’ third-place finish was sufficient to maintain her lead in the Q Tour women’s general classification. Sophia Sammons (Team Redcat) currently holds the top spot in the overall series standings, with Edwards in second. Oliver Bleddyn (Team Brennan) leads the men’s series heading into the final stage.

The Q Tour will conclude on Sunday with a challenging Queen stage, finishing on Mount Mee. The three-stage Queensland event will determine the final standings for both the Q Tour and the 2026 Hertz ProVelo Super League series.
