Honduras Forensic Medicine Center Announces Facility Improvements
Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán – October 26, 2023
Director of Forensic Medicine, Mario Javier García Martínez, alongside General Administrator Nancy villalta, recently conducted a site visit too the center for Forensic Sciences in Tegucigalpa. The purpose of the visit was to oversee and direct upcoming improvements designed to enhance the experience for both staff and those utilizing the center’s services.
According to officials, prudent financial management has enabled a phased plan for physical upgrades. During the inspection, contractors received detailed instructions from Director García Martínez and other authorities, while also attending to individuals visiting the center from various locations within the capital and beyond.
“We’ve successfully executed our budget,allowing us to allocate resources to crucial improvements,” stated Director García Martínez to Public Relations personnel. “These include interior and exterior painting, the reorganization of spaces within the forensic pathology department, enhancements to areas for grieving families, improved user facilities, and upgrades to specific laboratories.”
recent investments have already seen the installation of air conditioning units in previously uncooled areas. Further improvements are planned wiht the arrival of new furniture intended to increase comfort and efficiency for both personnel and visitors.
