Ford Maverick Hybrid Gains All-Wheel Drive, Enhanced Efficiency
SÃO PAULO – Ford has upgraded its Maverick Hybrid pickup with standard all-wheel drive and a more powerful electric motor, boosting both capability and fuel economy. The 2025 model now achieves 15.4 km/l in city driving and 13.5 km/l on the highway, with a total range exceeding 800 km.
The updates to the popular compact pickup address customer demand for increased traction and performance while maintaining the Maverick’s core value proposition: affordability and fuel efficiency in the small truck segment. The changes position the Maverick Hybrid as a compelling option for buyers seeking a versatile and economical vehicle for both daily commutes and light-duty tasks.
Ford has recalibrated the eCVT transmission and updated the electric motor to deliver 35% more torque. A shortened differential further enhances agility. Acceleration has also improved, with a 0-100 km/h time of 8 seconds – 0.7 seconds faster than the previous generation. The 1.1 kWh lithium-ion battery remains positioned under the floor.
The Maverick maintains a cargo volume of 943 liters and now includes a marine roof as standard equipment. Load capacity has increased to 584 kg, and the pickup can tow up to 455 kg. Active aerodynamic grille shutters and regenerative braking contribute to the improved fuel efficiency.
