Foo Fighters held a surprise ticket sale in London today for a performance scheduled for Wednesday, February 25th, at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Tickets were available in person only, beginning at 12pm (midday) on Sunday, February 22nd, according to an announcement from the band.
The limited-access sale prompted a gathering at the venue, with the band requesting courtesy towards neighboring businesses and the local community. The event is the only opportunity to purchase tickets for the February 25th present.
This performance follows the band’s extensive “Everything or Nothing At All Tour,” which included a performance at London Stadium in June 2024. A report in The American magazine noted the band’s popularity extended even to those unfamiliar with their discography, with one fan recounting a viral “drum off” between Dave Grohl and young British musician Nandi Bushell.
Chris Shiflett, the lead guitarist for the Foo Fighters since 1999, is a long-standing member of the band, having joined following the release of their third album, There Is Nothing Left to Lose. Shiflett was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Foo Fighters in 2021. He has also been a member of other bands including No Use for a Name and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
The band previously performed at Wembley Stadium in London as part of the Live Earth concert series on July 7, 2007, performing a set including “All My Life,” “My Hero,” “Times Like These,” “Best of You,” and “Everlong.”
