Florida Gas Prices Hold Steady as National Average Dips Slightly

Tallahassee, FL – Florida drivers are seeing consistent gas prices this week, with the statewide average currently at $3.095 per gallon of regular unleaded. This figure, recorded Sunday, represents a modest decrease from Saturday’s average of $3.112.While prices remain relatively stable for Floridians, the national average also experienced a slight dip, falling to $3.197 per gallon.

These consistent prices arrive as the summer driving season winds down, offering a degree of predictability for commuters and travelers. According to data from AAA, Florida’s average is lower than both the national average and the price one year ago ($3.179). The stability is attributed to daily updates based on approximately 130,000 station surveys, utilizing credit card swipes and direct feeds in partnership with the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and Wright Express.

Currently,Georgia boasts the lowest average in the region at $2.910 per gallon, while a month ago, Florida’s average stood at $3.125. Nationally, gas prices are being monitored closely as global oil markets react to economic indicators and geopolitical events, perhaps influencing future price fluctuations for consumers.
