The incident occurred as Pagny prepares for a massive 2026 tour encompassing seventy dates across France, Belgium, and Switzerland, and together films the upcoming season of The voice.
The singer, who has been battling illness in recent years, assured Tele-Leisure that his voice remains strong. “It’s a physical show. When we took the slap that I took, we could ask ourselves the question, especially about the lungs. But the voice remains a muscle, and everything is fine.” He further stated, “I found shine again,” emphasizing that chemotherapy hadn’t diminished his vocal quality. “I wasn’t afraid of losing my voice. It always worked well, even when the tumor returned and treatments resumed. So I was lucky in my misfortune…” Pagny also credited quitting smoking five years ago with contributing to his vocal resilience.
The weight loss, a result of a lifestyle balancing work in France with managing farms in argentina – where he “carries, lifts, loads, ties” – proved problematic during the taratata taping. “I had to go backstage to fix it because it was starting to get kint,” Pagny recounted.
