Flip Visuals Builds Strategic Brand Identity for STAC Marine Following $20M Acquisition

STAC Marine Offshore Ltd has formally engaged brand communications agency Flip Visuals to architect a comprehensive visual identity following the company’s $20 million acquisition of the Abo Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The partnership aims to align STAC Marine’s operational scale with a professionalized, market-ready corporate narrative.

Strategic Rebranding as an Operational Necessity

The acquisition of the Abo FPSO in September 2023 marked a transition for STAC Marine. STAC Marine’s leadership acknowledged that the sheer visibility of an FPSO—a vessel that puts them in direct contact with global energy companies, regulators, and partners—required a brand identity that mirrored its technical sophistication.

Rather than treating the visual identity as a superficial layer, the firm opted to build its brand from the ground up. Austine Nwaojei, Co-Founder and Creative Director at Flip Visuals, noted that the client recognized the necessity of brand equity in an environment dominated by multinational corporations.

Engineering a Visual System for the Offshore Sector

Flip Visuals approached the project as a positioning exercise. The agency identified that STAC Marine’s primary competitive advantage lies in its agility and local operational discipline. To reflect these attributes, the design team moved away from generic industry imagery.
