Turiba University Launches New fintech Business​ Courses to Meet Growing Industry Demand

Riga, Latvia – October 10, 2025 ⁣- Turiba university ‌is expanding its Business Management Study Program to ⁤include new ‌courses focused on financial technology​ (fintech), positioning itself to become a regional leader‍ in the rapidly evolving ​sector. The initiative, supported⁤ by the European ‍Union’s ⁢recovery⁣ adn resilience mechanism, aims⁢ to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to‍ thrive in the dynamic FinTech landscape.

The new ⁤curriculum⁣ integrates business, ‍technology, and regulatory aspects, bridging theoretical understanding with practical⁢ application. Students will explore ‌topical trends, develop innovative solutions, and learn to build ⁢lasting business models within​ the FinTech industry.

“The FinTechworld is rapidly changing how we understand‌ financial services, ⁢and these ⁢study courses ‍are⁤ a great prospect ‍for students ​not only to learn the basics of financial technologies, but also to see how these innovations create new opportunities for banks, payment, credit and insurance,” saeid Evija Klave, an associate‍ professor at Turiba University. “Collaboration with riga Business School and industry experts provides methodological support to the university, which is⁣ essential for providing⁣ the content and form of study that ‍meets both the⁤ requirements of the labor market and creates a modern⁣ study experience for our students.”

To⁢ ensure high-quality instruction,Turiba​ University lecturers have participated in ⁤professional development,including training in ⁤ Harvard Business Impact case-teaching methods to ⁢incorporate ‌real-world business‍ scenarios into ‍the curriculum.

The courses were developed in close cooperation with industry experts and will ​be complemented‍ by events connecting students and faculty with FinTech​ professionals, fostering a⁤ vibrant Latvian FinTech educational community.

This‍ educational initiative is implemented within the framework of‌ the project “Strengthening of Knowledge and Research Capacity ⁤in the​ Laundering of Money Laundering, Financial Technology ⁣and ⁢Sector‌ Analysis.” Latvia is ⁢actively pursuing a position as a ​regional FinTech hub, driven ‌by⁢ the industry’s strong export potential and ​dynamic ‌market growth.
