Turiba University Launches New fintech Business Courses to Meet Growing Industry Demand
Riga, Latvia – October 10, 2025 - Turiba university is expanding its Business Management Study Program to include new courses focused on financial technology (fintech), positioning itself to become a regional leader in the rapidly evolving sector. The initiative, supported by the European Union’s recovery adn resilience mechanism, aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the dynamic FinTech landscape.
The new curriculum integrates business, technology, and regulatory aspects, bridging theoretical understanding with practical application. Students will explore topical trends, develop innovative solutions, and learn to build lasting business models within the FinTech industry.
“The FinTech world is rapidly changing how we understand financial services, and these study courses are a great prospect for students not only to learn the basics of financial technologies, but also to see how these innovations create new opportunities for banks, payment, credit and insurance,” saeid Evija Klave, an associate professor at Turiba University. “Collaboration with riga Business School and industry experts provides methodological support to the university, which is essential for providing the content and form of study that meets both the requirements of the labor market and creates a modern study experience for our students.”
To ensure high-quality instruction,Turiba University lecturers have participated in professional development,including training in Harvard Business Impact case-teaching methods to incorporate real-world business scenarios into the curriculum.
The courses were developed in close cooperation with industry experts and will be complemented by events connecting students and faculty with FinTech professionals, fostering a vibrant Latvian FinTech educational community.
This educational initiative is implemented within the framework of the project “Strengthening of Knowledge and Research Capacity in the Laundering of Money Laundering, Financial Technology and Sector Analysis.” Latvia is actively pursuing a position as a regional FinTech hub, driven by the industry’s strong export potential and dynamic market growth.
