Fight Life: Vanguard Demo Available Now in Steam Next Fest 2026

A free demo for the upcoming tactical turn-based RPG, Fight Life: Vanguard, is now available as part of the Steam Next Fest, running through March 2nd, 2026. Publisher Two Cakes Studio announced the demo’s release, offering players a first look at the game’s combat and narrative.

The demo features three complete missions from the game’s first chapter, providing approximately 40 minutes of gameplay. Players will have access to one of five character tiers, allowing for experimentation with different tactical approaches and team compositions. Fight Life: Vanguard challenges players to lead a mercenary squad through a world facing an impending crisis, according to promotional materials.

The game centers around a Divine Spirit, once revered, now fading as his former apprentice seeks to usurp his power. This apprentice, having betrayed his master, aims to become a new god through sacrifice. Initially distrustful of humanity, the Divine Spirit begins to reconsider after witnessing acts of bravery against encroaching darkness, as detailed by Two Cakes Studio.

Fight Life: Vanguard emphasizes strategic combat, requiring players to carefully position units and craft critical decisions both during battles and in broader campaign management. Players are tasked with building and upgrading their squad, transforming recruits into seasoned warriors. The full game is planned for release on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, with language support including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Polish, Ukrainian, and Turkish.
