Fiat 600: New Petrol Engine & Manual Gearbox Option Available | Street Edition Revealed
Fiat has expanded its 600 model line with the introduction of a petrol engine option, alongside existing electric and hybrid versions. The new variant features a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 100 horsepower (74 kW) and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
The addition of the petrol powertrain aims to cater to drivers seeking a more traditional driving experience, according to Fiat. Customers can choose between four trim levels: Pop, Icon, La Prima, and Sport. The launch is accompanied by a limited-edition “Street” version, distinguished by 18-inch black alloy wheels and a two-tone white and black exterior color scheme.
The Street edition also incorporates black design elements, LED fog lights, and directional indicators. Inside, the cabin features black seats with white Fiat logos, a dark-colored headliner, and dark-toned dashboard accents. Equipment includes heated front seats, automatic climate control, keyless entry, an electric parking brake, and rear parking sensors.
According to Fiat, the new 600 1.2 T is priced starting at €24,490 in Germany, while the Street version begins at €28,490. Leasing options are available from €179 per month. The 600 Pop model, as detailed on Fiat’s UK website, includes over 100 features and utilizes a 1.2 liter combustion engine combined with a lithium-ion battery and a 6-speed e-DCT double clutch electric gearbox.
The Fiat 600 Hybrid Pop offers up to 100 HP of power and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 11 seconds. The new petrol version complements the existing hybrid and electric options, reinforcing Fiat’s commitment to providing accessible mobility solutions.
