Fernanda Labraña: Chilena avanza a cuartos de final del W15 de Santiago 2026
SANTIAGO – Chilean tennis player Fernanda Labraña advanced to the quarterfinals of the W15 Santiago tournament, part of the LP Open Series by IND, on Thursday, becoming the last Chilean remaining in the individual competition.
Labraña defeated Argentina’s Marina Bulbarella in a decisive match, winning with scores of 6-0 and 6-2. The Chilean player demonstrated a strong performance throughout the match, solidifying her current form on the circuit.
In the next round, Labraña will face Spain’s Sara Dols, in what is anticipated to be a challenging match. Meanwhile, Chilean players Antonia Vergara and Agustina Soto were eliminated from the tournament. Vergara lost to Luciana Moyano in three sets, and Soto was defeated by Carla Markus.
The quarterfinals are scheduled to initiate Friday at 11:00 local time in Santiago. The W15 tournament offers a prize pool of $15,000 and awards ranking points within the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), as part of an initiative to promote women’s tennis in Chile.
