Chasing the Best Historical League Start

Hansi Flick’s squad can equal the club’s best-ever start to a league campaign if it secures three points on Saturday. A victory against Getafe would mark eight wins from the first eight matches of the season, replicating the record set during the 2013/14 campaign under Gerardo Martino.

Individual Milestones for Raphinha, Kounde, and Gerard Martín

Raphael Dias Belloli, known as Raphinha, stands one appearance away from matching Neymar Jr. for total matches played by a Brazilian footballer for FC Barcelona, sitting at 186 prior to Saturday. The forward from Porto Alegre also leads the league scoring charts as the current Pichichi with 12 goals in the 2026/27 season.

In the defensive line, Jules Kounde is positioned to break a national appearance record. The French defender currently shares the record for most appearances by a French player in club history at 193 matches alongside Èric Abidal. Meanwhile, defender Gerard Martín approaches a career milestone of his own, tracking toward his 100th official appearance for the first team since debuting in August 2024 during a 2-1 away victory against Valencia at Mestalla.
