A 13-year-old boy died Monday night in Ageș County, Romania, after an ATV collided with a tree, authorities said.
Rescue teams responded to a call in the village of Cocu and found the boy had succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Firefighters were unable to provide aid, and the victim was pronounced dead.
“rescue teams arriving at the scene found that an ATV had collided with a tree. In the accident a 13-year-old boy lost his life,” the Disaster Management Inspectorate stated.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently under investigation, according to reports from Maszol.
This tragedy follows another recent incident in Hungary, where a woman died after a three-car collision on Sunday in Mány. One of the vehicles caught fire,and despite rescue efforts,the woman could not be saved.
