Gore Place to Host Farm-to-Table Dinner Benefiting historic Estate
Waltham, MA – Gore Place, a nationally notable historic estate, will host a farm-to-table dinner on Sunday, September 21st at 4:00 p.m., celebrating local agriculture and sustainability. The event aims to raise critical funds for the museum’s ongoing operations.
The seasonal meal will be curated by Chef Ian davey, Culinary Director for the Webber Restaurant Group, and sourced from Gibbet Hill Farm in Groton, Massachusetts. Chef Davey, a Le Cordon Bleu Paris graduate, oversees the culinary teams at Fireside Catering, The Barn at Gibbet Hill, Gibbet Hill Grill, and The Double Bull, having joined the Webber Restaurant group in 2019 as Executive chef of Fireside Catering and promoted in 2022.Gibbet Hill Farm, traditionally a Black Angus cattle farm, now dedicates over three acres to produce grown specifically for its restaurants. The farm utilizes ”no-till farming,” a method that preserves soil health by planting seeds directly into the ground without plowing or tilling.
