Farm to Table Dinner Fundraiser at Gore Place

Gore​ Place⁢ to Host Farm-to-Table Dinner Benefiting historic Estate

Waltham,‌ MA – Gore ⁤Place, a nationally notable historic estate, will host a farm-to-table dinner ​on‍ Sunday, September 21st at ⁣4:00 p.m., celebrating local ‌agriculture and sustainability. The event aims to raise⁤ critical funds for the museum’s ongoing operations.

The seasonal meal will ‌be curated by ⁤Chef Ian⁣ davey, ​Culinary Director for the⁤ Webber Restaurant Group,‌ and sourced from ‌Gibbet Hill ​Farm in Groton, Massachusetts. Chef ⁣Davey, a Le Cordon Bleu Paris graduate, oversees the culinary teams at Fireside ‍Catering, ‍The Barn at‌ Gibbet Hill, Gibbet Hill Grill, and The Double Bull, having ⁣joined the Webber Restaurant ⁣group ‌in 2019 as Executive ​chef of Fireside Catering and promoted in 2022.Gibbet Hill Farm, traditionally a Black Angus cattle farm, now dedicates over three acres to produce grown specifically for its ​restaurants. The farm utilizes ​”no-till farming,” ​a method ‌that preserves ⁢soil ​health by planting⁢ seeds‍ directly into ⁤the ground without plowing ‌or tilling.

Tickets for ⁣the event are available⁣ at goreplace.org.In the event of ​rain, dinner will be⁢ held ​in Gore Place’s Event Tent. The dinner provides an prospect to support​ the ⁣preservation​ of Gore ⁣Place, a landmark of early American life and architecture.
