two arrested, Hospitalized After Vehicle Flees Traffic Stop in Cass County

FARGO, N.D. – A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman are in custody following a vehicle pursuit and subsequent crashes in Cass County on Friday, September 19th.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies initiated a traffic stop at approximately 8:45 PM in the 1800 block of 19th avenue North. The vehicle fled the scene, prompting a pursuit that was quickly terminated due to the driver’s excessive speed.
The fleeing vehicle later collided with another car, disabling both vehicles involved. Shortly after, it crashed again, this time with a third, uninvolved motorist, resulting in disabling damage to both cars.
Both occupants of the suspect vehicle were transported to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the uninvolved vehicle sustained no injuries.
During a search of the suspect vehicle,deputies reportedly discovered narcotics. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is currently leading the investigation into the cause of the crashes.
