Fantasilandia spans 27 hectares in San Bernardo

Fantasilandia spans 27 hectares in San Bernardo

October 18, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Fantasilandia spans 27 hectares at kilometer 26.5 of the Autopista Central in San Bernardo, representing nearly triple the 6.7-hectare space of its historical Parque O’Higgins location, El Mostrador reported. Around 18 hectares of the total site will be directly dedicated to public attractions and services. The new site will accommodate 12,000 daily visitors across more than 40 mechanical and water attractions.

The expanded footprint allows for wider pathways, extensive green spaces, and larger parking areas.

Visitors will find direct access from the Autopista Central (Ruta 5 Sur), alongside connections to public bus routes and the EFE Nos train network, facilitating travel from central Santiago and surrounding communes.

Water Park Opening in December 2026

Development is divided into sequential phases to manage construction and phased openings. The first stage focuses on the water park, which is scheduled to begin operating in December 2026. This area is designed to serve as a central hub for beating the high temperatures in the southern zone of Santiago. The project was designed to ensure a gradual opening.

The water park features eight distinct attractions. These include the Tantrum funnel slide, a four-lane straight slide, an adult play structure pool, a lazy river, a family raft slide, a pipeline tube slide, a double plunge slide, a toddler pool, and a toddler slide. The water park will also incorporate rest areas and gastronomy.

This phase brings traditional mechanical rides from the old park alongside returning favorites and new installations. The second stage corresponds to the relocation and installation of iconic roller coasters, family and adrenaline attractions, and new structures specially designed for the San Bernardo enclosure.
