Prior to his time with the 49ers, Robinson spent three seasons with the Washington Commanders, where he was the lead back in both 2023 and 2024.

Throughout his four-year NFL career, Robinson has accumulated 2,729 rushing yards and 22 total touchdowns – 17 rushing and five receiving. He has similarly demonstrated versatility as a receiver, with 73 receptions for 612 yards. The Falcons are hoping he can replicate that versatility behind starter Bijan Robinson.

The Falcons selected Bijan Robinson with the eighth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and the addition of Brian Robinson Jr. Is intended to provide a reliable complement. Robinson was originally a third-round pick by the Commanders in the 2022 NFL Draft, having played college football at Alabama.
