The updated regulations specify point distributions based on the number of laps completed in a Sprint Qualifying session:
- For Sprint Qualifying events consisting of 3 to 10 laps, points are awarded according to Column 1.
- For events between 11 and 21 laps, points are allocated as per Column 2.
- Sprint qualifying sessions running from 22 up to 32 laps will follow the points structure in Column 3.
- For any Sprint Qualifying event with 33 laps or more, the standard, common scoring system applies.
