Oasis Reunion Tour Kicks Off in Cardiff After 15-Year Hiatus
After years of anticipation, the legendary Britpop band Oasis is reuniting for a massive tour. The comeback marks the end of a 15-year split between the Gallagher brothers, promising fans a nostalgic journey.
Cardiff Gigs: The Grand Return
Cardiff will host the initial two concerts of the highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour. The Principality Stadium will welcome the band on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5. The last time the band performed live was in 2009.
A Defining Soundtrack
The Gallagher brothers’ music has been the soundtrack to many lives since their debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” launched in August 1994. A backstage argument at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009 led to Oasis’s breakup.

Support Acts and Stage Times
Supporting Oasis at the Cardiff gigs will be Richard Ashcroft of The Verve and the Britpop band Cast. John Power, the frontman of Cast, shares a long history with Oasis. They played together at the legendary Knebworth Park shows in 1996.
Principality Stadium gates will open at 17:00 BST. The stage times are scheduled as follows: Cast at 18:00, Richard Ashcroft at 19:00, and Oasis at 20:15. The curfew is set for 22:30.

Road Closures and Stadium Details
Full road closures are planned around the stadium from 15:00 until midnight on both concert days. This includes several key streets within the city center. Fans are advised to plan their routes in advance. Event parking will be available at Sophia Gardens and the Civic Centre. A park and ride service will operate from the Sports Village in Cardiff Bay from 09:00.

Only small bags, no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm, will be permitted inside the stadium. According to recent data from the Music Venue Trust, the demand for live music experiences has surged, with attendance rates up by 20% compared to pre-pandemic levels (Music Venue Trust, 2024).

Weather and Beyond
The weather forecast for Friday is warm and sunny, with temperatures reaching 21°C (69.8°F). Saturday expects light rain and a breeze, with highs of 20°C (68°F). With the stadium roof closed, the weather will have a lesser impact on the event. After Cardiff, the Oasis tour continues with dates in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
