Ève Landry & Erich Preach Star in New François Pérusse Play

Ève Landry and Erich Preach will star in a new play inspired by the work of humorist François Pérusse, set to premiere July 11, 2026, at the Théâtre Lionel-Groulx, according to announcements made on February 12, 2026.

The production, titled “Boulevard Pérusse,” aims to bring Pérusse’s signature sound collage and character-driven comedy to the stage. Nearly 12,000 tickets have already been sold, indicating significant public interest in the adaptation of Pérusse’s work.

Joining Landry and Preach in the cast are Martin Héroux, David-Alexandre Després, Marie-Ève Trudel, and Philippe Racine. The ensemble will perform Pérusse’s material, known for its rapid-fire sketches and satirical observations of Quebec life.

François Pérusse is best known for his “2 minutes du peuple” segments, which gained widespread popularity in Quebec. The new play marks a significant step in expanding his creative output beyond radio and recordings.

The announcement of the cast follows a period of anticipation since the initial unveiling of the “Boulevard Pérusse” project. The production is currently in rehearsals, with the premiere scheduled for mid-July.
