Eva Green Returns as Femme Fatale in New Film from Casino Royale Director
LOS ANGELES, CA – November 22, 2025 – Eva Green is set to portray a cunning and deceptive character in Just Play Dead, a new film noir directed by Martin Campbell, the filmmaker behind the 2006 James bond installment Casino Royale.The film,described as a comedy,centers on Jack Wolfe (Samuel L. Jackson), a criminal who attempts to fake his death to collect a $30 million life insurance payout.
Green plays Nora, whose role in the scheme extends beyond initial appearances. She intends to kill her husband, Jack, frame her surfer lover Chad for the murder, and abscond with the insurance money. The plot thickens as both Jack and Nora suspect each other’s true intentions, leading to a battle of wits and escalating deception.
This marks the third collaboration between Green and Campbell, following Casino Royale and the 2024 action film Dirty Angels, which was released directly to VOD in some territories. green is also slated to appear in cary Joji Fukunaga’s thriller Blood on Snow with Benedict Cumberbatch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the heist film Diamond Shitter alongside Raffey Cassidy and Ben Wishaw, and Bahman Ghobadi’s The Trees.
