Giant Wales Shirt Tour Set to Excite Fans
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) is launching an exciting tour across the nation. A massive inflatable Wales shirt will visit various towns and cities. This initiative aims to build excitement leading up to the summer tournament.
Inflatable Shirt Unveiling
The FAW is debuting a colossal inflatable Wales shirt today at the foot of Yr Wyddfa. This event marks the start of the “Ein Crys Cymru” (Our Wales jersey) tour. The names of the players chosen for the Euros will be on the back of this giant shirt.
Tour Dates and Locations
The shirt will travel to various Welsh towns and cities. Fans can spot it in several locations: Llanberis, Aberystwyth, Tenby, Carmarthen, Swansea, Caernarfon, Llandudno, Wrexham, Newtown, Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd, Newport, and Cardiff.
The tour will stop in Llanberis at Cae’r Ddol (Llanberis Community Center Field) on Thursday, June 19, from 10 am to 6 pm. It will then travel to Aberystwyth’s King Concourse Court on Saturday, June 21 (time to be confirmed). The shirt will also appear in Tenby Harbour on Sunday, June 22, and in Carmarthen’s Guildhall Square on Monday, June 23.
Additional stops will be in Swansea’s St. Davids Square on Tuesday, June 24, and in Caernarfon’s The Castle Square Maes on Thursday, June 26. The tour proceeds to Llandudno’s North Shore Promenade on Friday, June 27, and Wrexham’s Hippodrome on Saturday, June 28. Further locations include Newtown (Sunday, June 29) and Merthyr Tydfil (Wednesday, July 2, location to be announced).
The final tour stops will be in Pontypridd’s Ynysangharad War Memorial Park on Thursday, July 3, Newport’s John Frost Square on Friday, July 4, and Cardiff Castle on Saturday, July 5.
