Global Volcanic Activity: Recent Updates
Breaking: Several volcanoes worldwide are exhibiting ongoing activity, ranging from lava effusion to ash emissions, as of late 2023 and early to mid-2025. Monitoring agencies continue to track these events and issue advisories as needed.
Volcanic Activity Reports (as of various dates)
- Ol Doinyo Lengai (Tanzania): Natrocarbonatite lava effusion is occurring within the pit crater of the northern main crater. This activity was last updated on August 27,2021.
