Actor Eric Lloyd, best known for his roles in “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and “The Santa Clause,” recently discussed the pressures of competing on Hulu’s “The Floor” and revisited a long-standing issue with former co-star Melissa Joan Hart. In a new interview, Lloyd detailed the overwhelming preparation required for the general knowledge competition and contrasted it with his experience on Fox’s “Celebrity weakest link.” he also opened up about lingering feelings stemming from a perceived betrayal during his time on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.”
Lloyd described the intense anxiety induced by “The Floor’s” vast scope of potential questions, noting the counterproductive nature of attempting to master 100 categories in a short timeframe. “You think that it makes it easier, but in reality, it just ends up making you cram a bunch of stuff in your head,” he explained. He contrasted this with “Weakest Link,” where a single incorrect answer wasn’t as detrimental, offering opportunities for recovery or strategic banking. The interview also revealed Lloyd’s ambivalence about appearing on “Celebrity Jeopardy!,” acknowledging both the appeal and the daunting challenge it would present.
The actor clarified he is currently focused on post-production work and crewing on films, limiting his ability to discuss ongoing projects. However, he remains recognizable for his early roles, including his portrayal of Justin Fisher on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” alongside Melissa Joan Hart.
