ENHYPEN member Jungwon posted a message to the fan community platform Weverse on Saturday, March 21, 2026, stating “Today was fun, Engines~♡,” according to a post archived by community members. The message, written in Korean, was directed to the group’s fanbase, known as “Engines,” and appears to reflect a positive sentiment following the group’s activities.

Jungwon, whose full name is Yang Jung-won, serves as the leader of ENHYPEN, a six-member K-pop boy group formed through the 2020 survival program I-LAND. The group debuted on November 30, 2020, under BELIFT LAB, a subsidiary of HYBE Corporation. Originally a seven-member group, ENHYPEN underwent a restructuring in 2026 following the departure of Heeseung, who opted to pursue a solo career while remaining with the agency.

According to a profile updated for 2026, Jungwon was born on February 9, 2004, in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in Gwanak-gu. He is 175 cm tall (approximately 5’9”) and has blood type AB. His MBTI type is ISTJ, having previously been assessed as ESTJ. He trained for approximately one year and four months before appearing on I-LAND, ultimately ranking first in the final competition and becoming the first confirmed member of ENHYPEN.

Prior to joining ENHYPEN, Jungwon was a trainee at both SM Entertainment (2017-2018) and BigHit Entertainment (2018-2019). He has an older sister, born in 2002, and a dog named Maeumi.
