Energia All-Ireland League Men’s Divisions – Round 16 Results & Updates
Cork Constitution defeated Nenagh Ormond 42-19 in an Energia All-Ireland League Division 1A match at Temple Hill on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. The victory saw Cork Con produce a strong second-half display, securing a six-try performance.
Adam Maher scored two tries for Cork Constitution, whereas Seán French, Peter Hyland, George Good, and Aidan Moynihan each added one. Moynihan similarly converted all six tries. Nenagh Ormond responded with tries from Davey Gleeson, Fionn O’Meara, and Luke Kerr, with conversions from Derek Corcoran and Matt Brice.
The match saw Cork Constitution grab a 21-12 lead into halftime. According to the official match details, Seán French scored a try in the 19th minute. The starting lineup for Cork Con included Johnny Murphy on the wing and Aidan Moynihan at fly-half.
Elsewhere in Division 1A, Old Belvedere defeated St. Mary’s College 21-14 at Ollie Campbell Park. Tries from Jayden Beckett, Andre Ryan, and Morgan Meredith, along with three conversions from Meredith, secured the win for Belvedere. St. Mary’s College scored tries through Rob Gilsenan and Greg Jones, with Mick O’Gara adding two conversions.
Lansdowne moved up to third place with a 22-3 victory over Terenure College at Lakelands Park. Bobby Sheehan, Paul Wilson, and Cathal Eddy scored tries for Lansdowne, with Stephen Madigan converting two and adding a penalty.
UCD secured a 28-21 victory over Ballynahinch, but the result was not enough to avoid a relegation play-off. Thomas Quinn, Oisin Spain, Ben Brownlee, and Oran Handley scored tries for UCD, with Daragh Gilbourne converting all four.
Young Munster lost to Clontarf 33-50 at Tom Clifford Park in a high-scoring encounter. Kelvin Langan, Liam McMahon, Oisin Pepper, Stephen McLoughlin, and Fionn Gibbons scored tries for Young Munster, with Langan converting four. Clontarf’s tries came from Noah Sheridan, Dylan Donnellan, Niall Smyth, Aaron Coleman, Hugo Lennox, Ivan Soroka, Darragh Doyle, and Peter Maher, with Conor Kelly converting five.
In Division 1B, Blackrock College defeated Queen’s University 29-21 at Stradbrook. Jamie Rogan, Jack Deegan, Barry Galvin, and Matthew Dwan scored tries for Blackrock College, with Tim Corkery converting three and adding a penalty. Queen’s University responded with tries from Josh Stevens, Evan McGonigle, and James McKillop, with Daniel Green and Eamonn Rogers adding conversions.
City of Armagh defeated Highfield 25-12 at Palace Grounds. Connor Neary, Rocky Olsen, and James Anderson scored tries for City of Armagh, with Olsen converting two and adding two penalties. Highfield’s points came from four penalties by Shane Buckley.
Naas lost to Dublin University 26-40 at Forenaughts. Donal Conroy, Charlie Sheridan, Paddy Taylor, and Muiris Cleary scored tries for Naas, with Taylor converting three and adding a penalty. Dublin University’s tries came from Matty Lynch, Hugo Lynch, Eoin McDermott, Alex Finlay, Jack O’Neill, and Mark Walsh, with Lynch converting five and adding a penalty.
UCC lost to Old Wesley 35-40 at the Mardyke. Dawid Nowak scored two tries for UCC, with Gene O’Leary Kareem and Jack Casey adding one each. Harry Murphy converted five. Old Wesley’s tries came from Kieran O’Shea, Evan Kenny, Eoin Deegan, Andrew Doyle, Stephen Smyth, and Jamie Clark, with Tom Larke converting five.
Instonians lost to Garryowen 33-36 at Shaw’s Bridge. Oli Clark scored two tries for Instonians, with Bevan Prinsloo, Ruairí O’Farrell, and Bradley McNamara adding one each. Josh Eagleson converted four. Garryowen’s tries came from Max Clein, Seán Sexton, Tom Ironside Wickham, Josh Kyle, with Lachlan Stewart converting four and adding a penalty.
Malahide lost to Clonmel 36-42 at Estuary Road.
