New Trailer Reveals Chaotic Premise of Channel 4‘s “The Inheritance”
Channel 4 has unveiled a striking trailer for its upcoming game show, “The Inheritance,” a competition set within a lavish estate where 13 contestants vie for a share of a substantial fortune. The show centers around the apparent death of a wealthy individual, and the ensuing scramble for their assets.
The trailer, created by 4creative, features Elizabeth Hurley and Rob Rinder reprising their roles from the series. It opens wiht a scene of mourning around an open casket containing hurley, seemingly at rest. The atmosphere quickly shifts as one mourner, amidst the solemn gathering, lifts the veil to admire Hurley’s appearance – and then proceeds to steal a diamond necklace.
This act sparks a full-blown looting spree within the manor.Contestants are shown emptying drawers of jewelry, grabbing vases, and removing paintings from the walls, all while a visibly shocked Rob Rinder observes.Hurley then breaks character, addressing the camera directly: “If you hadn’t noticed darlings, I’m dead, which means my entire estate is up for grabs.” She clarifies that while the estate is available, “only one of them will take home the biggest share,” emphasizing the competitive element of the show.The trailer culminates with a scene of a contestant hastily loading stolen valuables into a hearse,adorned with a wreath on the boot window displaying the word ‘KERCHING’.
Following the trailer’s release, key art created by the show’s Director, Alfred Marroquín, and fly posters shot by Will Robson-Scott will launch on August 25th. The marketing campaign will span television, social media, radio, and print platforms.
