A performance blending music and dance, titled “Elements,” is scheduled for Sunday, February 15th, at the Espace Frédéric-Mistral in Peyrolles-en-Provence, France. The event will feature the Bamboo Orchestra and choreographer Sinath Ouk.
The project explores the themes of earth, water, fire, and air through a sensory experience where sound and movement are interwoven. The Bamboo Orchestra, led by Makoto Yabuki, will perform percussion and flute pieces, whereas Ouk’s choreography draws inspiration from tai chi, emphasizing strength, fluidity, and precision.
According to organizers, musicians and dancers will share a common space for expression, with bodies functioning as instruments and instruments extending physical gestures. The performance aims to move between rhythm and melody, stillness and energetic movement, utilizing lighting to highlight the bamboo instrumentarium.
The municipality of Peyrolles-en-Provence has announced the event will be free to attend, but reservations are required. The Espace Frédéric-Mistral is located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, approximately 18 kilometers northeast of Aix-en-Provence.
Peyrolles-en-Provence’s town hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is part of the town’s cultural program for February 2026.
