Opera at the Tops‘ Celebrates 10th Anniversary at Belogradchik Rocks

Belogradchik, Bulgaria – The renowned “Opera at the Tops” festival is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary at the breathtaking Belogradchik Rocks, promising a summer filled with cultural richness and artistic brilliance. From June 30 to October 21, the festival, a key component of the Belogradchik municipality’s summer cultural program “peaks,” will showcase a diverse array of performances, including opera, music, dance, theater, and cinema.

A Diverse Cultural Program

This year’s program expands beyond opera to include classical, folklore, pop, and rock concerts, along with cinema and theater productions. Leading performers from bulgaria and abroad will participate, ensuring a high-caliber artistic experience for attendees.

Ruse Opera‘s Six Stellar Productions

The Ruse Opera will present six distinct productions throughout the festival:

  • August 1: zoro – A musical featuring music by the Gipsy Kings and John Cameron,with Vlado Zombie.
  • August 2: Carmina Burana – Carl Orff’s iconic cantata.
  • August 22: Traviata – Giuseppe Verdi’s timeless opera.
  • August 23: The Barber of Seville – Gioachino Rossini’s comedic masterpiece.
  • August 29: Nabucco – Giuseppe Verdi’s powerful opera in four acts.
  • August 30: Mars and Venus: Tenors against sopranos – A gala concert spectacle.

Beyond the Ruse Opera’s contributions, the festival boasts a rich lineup of other performances:

  • August 7: Singing artists of Igor Markovski
