Gymnast Eldrew yulo is set to represent teh Philippines at the upcoming World junior Championships, aiming to build on his success at last year’s Asian Juniors Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Cynthia Carrion, President of the Gymnastics association of the Philippines, expressed confidence in Yulo’s medal prospects. “I won’t be putting any pressure on Eldrew, so I would be happy if he wins a silver at the world juniors,” Carrion stated.
Yulo’s readiness included a month-long training stint in Nagoya, Japan, under the guidance of Munehiro Kugimiya, his brother’s former Japanese coach.
In the girls’ division, Elizabeth Antone will also compete for the Philippines, having recently secured a bronze medal at the asian Juniors Championship.
