DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) – Eisenhower High School will reopen to students and staff on tuesday after a network connectivity issue forced the cancellation of classes on Friday and Monday.
Decatur public Schools Director of Communications & Public Relations, Maria robertson, confirmed the issue has been resolved in a news release monday afternoon. The disruption impacted network access throughout the school, prompting officials to prioritize a safe return to learning.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience the recent network disruption may have caused our families, students, and staff,” Robertson said. “We extend our deepest gratitude to our DPS IT Network Team, who worked tirelessly around the clock, alongside our vendor partners, to restore service. Their hard work and persistence ensured we could safely reopen and have our students and staff back in the building.”
The Decatur School District declined to provide further details regarding the nature of the technology issue. WCIA will continue to follow the story and provide updates as they become available.
