February 12, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

A large-scale police operation unfolded Monday evening on the Maurits Lijnslagerstraat in Eindhoven following reports of a disturbance, resulting in two arrests and the discovery of firearms, narcotics, and a safe within a storage unit connected to a nearby apartment building.

The initial response was triggered by observant residents who alerted authorities to the escalating situation, according to reports from local news outlet Eindhovens Dagblad. Police secured the area and initiated a search of the complex, focusing on storage spaces beneath the residential building.

During the search, officers recovered multiple firearms and an undisclosed quantity of drugs. A safe was likewise found and subsequently seized as evidence. Details regarding the contents of the safe have not been released.

The two individuals taken into custody are currently being held for questioning. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those arrested or the specific charges they are facing. The investigation is ongoing.

Separately, on February 10th, a 21-year-old man from Dordrecht was arrested in connection with a cybercrime investigation conducted by Team Cybercrime, according to a statement released by the Dutch National Police (Politie.nl). The arrest occurred in both Oost-Brabant and Dordrecht, suggesting a coordinated operation spanning multiple locations.

Earlier this week, Eindhoven police also responded to an incident involving a Molotov cocktail thrown at a local police station. The attack, which occurred around 6:00 AM, prompted a manhunt for the perpetrator, as reported by Algemeen Dagblad. The investigation into the Molotov cocktail incident remains active.

As of today, February 12, 2026, the police have not indicated any connection between the apartment complex raid, the cybercrime arrest, and the attack on the police station. Local emergency services continue to monitor the situation in Eindhoven, with a comprehensive overview of 112 emergency calls available through Alarmeringen.nl.
