Eight Sleep and Resmed Partner to Expand Sleep Health in Australia

October 26, 2026 Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor Health

Eight Sleep and Resmed announced a partnership combining consumer sleep technology with positive airway pressure therapy insights to expand access to sleep health resources for Australians.

Key Clinical Takeaways:

  • Resmed has made an investment in Eight Sleep as part of a collaboration to connect consumer sleep data with clinical insights.
  • Australians using an Eight Sleep Pod and a Resmed PAP device with the myAir app can now securely connect their therapy insights into the Eight Sleep app.
  • Data sharing is optional, requires user permission, and can be disconnected at any time.

Resmed Invests in Eight Sleep Device Integration

As part of the collaboration, Resmed (ASX: RMD, NYSE: RMD) made an investment in Eight Sleep. The integration links Eight Sleep’s consumer sleep technology with metrics from Resmed’s myAir consumer sleep companion app.

Users who operate both an Eight Sleep Pod and a Resmed positive airway pressure device can now connect their PAP therapy insights into the Eight Sleep platform. With permission, these therapy insights appear alongside metrics such as heart rate, breathing rate, and snoring-related data.

“At Eight Sleep, we’re focused on transforming the bed and bedroom into a preventative and predictive health platform,” said Matteo Franceschetti, co-founder and CEO of Eight Sleep. “This collaboration allows Eight Sleep members who use a Resmed PAP device with the myAir app to gain broader insights into their sleep health directly through our AI-powered platform. Resmed’s investment also supports the role Eight Sleep can play in the future of sleep health.”

Addressing Undiagnosed Sleep Disorders

Sleep remains underprioritised alongside nutrition and exercise, with millions of people suffering from undiagnosed sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea. At the same time, consumer sleep technology provides visibility into daily sleep patterns.

Australian users can access educational resources and support options, including a sleep assessment, based on trends observed in their sleep data like snoring-related insights.

“Resmed is committed to improving lives through better sleep and breathing, with care delivered in the home,” said Carlos Nunez, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Resmed. “As more Australians use consumer technology for sleep, we have an opportunity to help turn those insights into a greater understanding of sleep health. Our work with Eight Sleep helps us reach more people earlier in their sleep health journey, driving greater awareness and education so they can seek diagnosis and treatment from their healthcare provider if needed.”

Integration Launches in Australia and United States

Integration between the myAir and Eight Sleep Pod consumer apps, along with the accompanying sleep health resources, is live in Australia and the United States. Both companies plan to expand the collaboration to additional markets over time.

The Eight Sleep Pod is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Any sleep health information provided remains educational in nature and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Eight Sleep has been recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2026, and named twice to TIME’s Best Inventions. Its products are available in more than 35 countries.
