CAIRO — Gold prices in Egypt saw a decline of approximately 15 Egyptian pounds by Thursday evening, July 24, 2025, according to Naguib Club, former Secretary General of teh Gold Division at Masrawy.
The price of 14-karat gold dropped to 3,090 pounds per gram.Eighteen-karat gold decreased to 3,973 pounds per gram, while 21-karat gold fell to 4,635 pounds per gram. Twenty-four-karat gold saw a reduction to 5,297 pounds per gram.
The gold pound price also decreased, settling at 29,080 pounds. Prices can vary between merchants, and this figure reflects the value of gold within the pound.
in terms of gold by weight, 10 grams of gold were priced around 52,971 pounds. An ounce,equivalent to 31.1 grams of 24-karat gold,was recorded at approximately 164,741 pounds. Fifty grams of gold were priced at about 264,857 pounds. These prices are based on the value of gold in the alloy, with the alloy’s price determined by the gram price of 24-karat gold.
Globally, gold prices declined by 0.84%, reaching about $3,359 per ounce, according to the latest data from Bloomberg Agency. An ounce is equivalent to approximately 31.1 grams of 24-karat gold.
