EF-1 Tornado Strikes Lowndes and Montgomery Counties, Alabama

The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in parts of Lowndes and Montgomery counties as severe storms moved through the area.

Crews have identified tornado damage in eastern Lowndes County and western Montgomery County following yesterday’s severe weather, wich also caused damage in the city of Montgomery.

The tornado is estimated to have been at least an EF-1, with winds reaching at least 90 mph.
