Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards and Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren were named the NBA’s Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 19 of the 2025-26 season, the league announced Monday.
Edwards powered the Timberwolves to a 3-0 week, averaging 28.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. The stretch included a significant road victory in Denver on March 1, bolstering Minnesota’s position in the Western Conference standings. His performance during the award window saw him shoot 45.7% from the field across 37.8 minutes per game. The Timberwolves then returned home to face Memphis on Tuesday, March 3.
Duren, meanwhile, led the Pistons to a 3-1 record, averaging 25.8 points and 13.8 rebounds per game. The award recognizes a strong stretch for the young center as Detroit continues its surprising season.
This marks Edwards’ fourth Player of the Week award this season. He was previously recognized during the 2025-26 season in Weeks 7, 6, and 5. The award comes as Edwards is in his first season under a max contract extension, securing his future with the Timberwolves through the 2028-29 season.
Previous Western Conference Players of the Week this season include Stephon Castle, Dillon Brooks, Luka Dončić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Peyton Watson, Deni Avdija, Kawhi Leonard, Jaren Jackson Jr., Jamal Murray, and Nikola Jokić (twice). Eastern Conference honorees have been Jalen Johnson, Brandon Miller, Immanuel Quickley, Bam Adebayo, Scottie Barnes, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Cade Cunningham, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
