Glasgow Warriors defeated Scarlets 35-29 in a tightly contested United Rugby Championship match at Scotstoun Stadium on Saturday. Rob Harley made his return to the Glasgow lineup, bolstering the Warriors’ pack.

The match saw a dynamic display from both sides, with Glasgow ultimately securing the victory. Glasgow’s starting XV included Paterson, Satala, Lang, Tuipulotu, and Goosen in the backs, while Thompson and Vellacott formed the half-back partnership. The forward pack featured Venter, Morris, Rae, Sykes, Young, Muncaster, Bradbury, and Richardson.

Scarlets fielded a team led by J Davies, with Rogers, Page, Roberts, and Lewis in the backline. Leggatt-Jones and Hughes controlled the scrum-half and fly-half positions, respectively. The Scarlets’ forward line included Mathias, Van der Merwe, Henry Thomas, Ball, Lousi, Douglas, Macleod, and Anderson.

Peter Martin of the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) officiated the match, assisted by Hollie Davidson and Rob McDowell, both from the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU). Colin Stanley, also from the IRFU, served as the Television Match Official (TMO).

Replacements were utilized by both teams throughout the match, with J Blyth-Lafferty, Whitcombe, O Blyth-Lafferty, Hunter-Hill, Boyle, Shiel, Scott, and O’Conor coming off the bench for Glasgow. Scarlets made changes with Harry Thomas, Hepburn, O’Connor, J Price, Taylor, Blacker, I Jones, and McDonald entering the game.

The Scarlet Goodbye, a Minnesota-based rock duo, recently released a latest single, “She’s A Fire,” and are currently on a UK and Ireland tour, performing a live show at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh. This tour is separate from the rugby match but represents another sporting and cultural event taking place in the region.
