An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred on Tuesday evening at 19:35 (4:35 pm GMT) in the Mediterranean, south of Greece, reports dailysabah.com.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 4.22 kilometers, according to AFAD.

The Geodynamic Institute of Athens said the epicenter of the earthquake included the area between the islands of Kythera and Crete.
