Techland, the developer behind the acclaimed zombie survival series, has announced a four-week delay for Dying Light: The Beast. The highly anticipated title,which continues the story of Kyle Crane,is now slated for release on September 19,2025,shifting from its original August 21 launch date.
In a blog post, Techland explained that the decision was made to ensure Dying Light: The Beast lives up to its promise of being the best game in the franchise. “To honor this promise, we’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work,” the studio stated. They acknowledged that the delay might be disappointing but emphasized the importance of a strong first impression. The additional four weeks will be dedicated to refining gameplay balance, improving UI clarity, enhancing physics, and further tweaking cutscenes and player animations, along with adding final touches.
Alongside the release date adjustment, Techland also revealed that Dying Light: The Beast will be playable via a public demo at the upcoming gamescom event.
